Bayer Leverkusen have emerged as the latest club targeting Leicester City’s star midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, who is eager to depart following the Foxes’ relegation from the Premier League.
The 28-year-old Nigerian international, a Leicester stalwart since joining from Genk in January 2017, has a £9 million release clause in his contract, activated after the club’s drop to the Championship.

Transfer expert Ben Jacobs reports that Ndidi is attracting widespread interest. Manchester United have held discussions with his representatives, while Everton, Crystal Palace, and Fulham have also made approaches.
Real Betis, Juventus, and Saudi Pro League clubs, including Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr, and NEOM SC, are also keen on securing his signature.
Ndidi has massive experience, with over 300 appearances for Leicester, and multiple appearances and top performances for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
He signed a three-year contract extension last summer, but his future lies away from the King Power Stadium.
