The UEFA Champions League delivered drama across Europe on Tuesday night, with a mix of emphatic wins, surprise results, and late twists shaping the second round of group-stage fixtures.

At the Metropolitano, Antoine Griezmann marked his 200th goal for Atlético Madrid during a dominant 5-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Giacomo Raspadori’s early strike set the tone before Robin Le Normand doubled the lead. Griezmann’s milestone finish just before the break was followed by two Julian Álvarez goals in the second half, one from the penalty spot, as Atlético responded in style to their opening defeat to Liverpool.

Bayern Munich were equally ruthless on their travels, defeating Cypriot side Pafos 5-1. Harry Kane led the charge with a brace to take his tally for the season to 20, while Raphaël Guerreiro, Nicolas Jackson, and Michael Olise all found the net.

Mislav Oršić pulled one back for Pafos just before halftime, but the German champions were rarely troubled.

In Istanbul, Galatasaray stunned Liverpool 1-0 courtesy of a first-half penalty from Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian forward converted after a foul on Barış Alper Yılmaz, and though Liverpool introduced Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak from the bench in the second half, they could not find a breakthrough.

Chelsea edged past Benfica 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in a tightly contested encounter, sealed by a second-half own goal from Antonio Ríos.

The night ended on a sad note for former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho who made a return to Stamford Bridge tonight.

In Norway, Tottenham avoided embarrassment against Bodø/Glimt as a late own goal from Jostein Gundersen salvaged a 2-2 draw for the Premier League side.

Inter Milan enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 victory over Slavia Prague with Lautaro Martínez netting twice, while Marseille thrashed Ajax 4-0 with Igor Paixão scoring a brace and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang adding the fourth.
