Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has notified Manchester City of the havoc Vinicius Jr is likely to unleash on them ahead of the first leg of the UEFA Champions League playoffs.
Ancelotti says the winger is not at his best even though he has 17 goals already this season.
The Italian added that the Brazilian winger has been impressive despite struggling with injuries recently.
Ancelotti believes that Vinicius Jr will be at his very best when Real Madrid face Manchester City at the Etihad on Tuesday night.
“Vinicius is close to his best level, you will see tomorrow”.
“His season has been good, 17 goals… and this despite all the injuries he suffered”.
When asked why Vinicius Jr and Real Madrid hierarchy didn’t attend the 2024 Ballon D’or Awards creremony, Ancelotti says they didn’t attend because he deserves to win ahead of Rodri.
“Not to attend the Ballon d’Or Gala was not a wrong decision. We didn’t attend because we thought Vini Jr was the clear winner of the Ballon d’Or”.
“Nothing against Rodri, I think he should have won it the year before”.
Real Madrid will face Manchester City for the third consecutive time in the Champions League knock out stage.
The defending Champions knocked Manchester City out in the semi-finals before beating Borussia Dortmund in the final last summer at Wembley.
