Manchester United’s highly rated summer signing, Leny Yoro, is edging closer to his eagerly anticipated return to action. The 18-year-old French defender has been sidelined since preseason due to a foot injury that required surgery.
Fortunately, Yoro’s rehabilitation is progressing smoothly, with an expected return to action in November.
A recent video posted by United showed Yoro running on a treadmill, captioned “On the way back.”
This positive update should provide a boost for the Red Devils who have struggled defensively on a number of occasions this season.
However, ten Hag will exercise caution, avoiding any rush to bring Yoro back into the fold after his prolonged absence.
With Harry Maguire currently out injured for a few weeks, United’s defensive options are somewhat limited. Fortunately, summer signing Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez remain available for selection.
Veteran Jonny Evans, who was impressive in the recent outing against Aston Villa, may also see increased playing time.
