Borussia Dortmund has intensified efforts to acquire Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford during the current transfer window.
The 27-year-old England international has seen limited playing time under United’s new manager, Ruben Amorim, and is reportedly seeking a new challenge.
Dortmund’s interest in Rashford has progressed, with the club’s sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, and head coach, Nuri Sahin, engaging in discussions to secure a loan deal. The German club is actively pursuing Rashford to bolster their attacking options, especially after the departure of Donyell Malen to Aston Villa.
However, Dortmund faces competition from AC Milan, who have also expressed concrete interest in Rashford. Both clubs are exploring the feasibility of a transfer, considering factors such as Rashford’s £325,000-a-week wages and Manchester United’s reported £50 million asking price.
Rashford’s last appearance for Manchester United was on December 12, and his absence from recent matchday squads has fueled speculation about his future at Old Trafford. As the January transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen whether Dortmund or Milan will secure the services of the England forward.
