Carlo Ancelotti has called up new Manchester United star Ederson to Brazil’s World Cup squad following the injury to Wesley.
Ederson will replace Wesley who suffered an injury on Saturday in Brazil’s 2-1 win over Egypt in a pre-World Cup friendly match in Cleveland.
According to reports, Wesley was examined by the national team doctors and it was confirmed that the 22-year-old WS Roma defender suffered a muscle injury to the left thigh abductor muscle.
Ederson will join the Brazil squad on Monday ahead of their opening fixture against Morocco on June 13 in New Jersey.
The 27-year-old will seal a move to Manchester United in July after sealing a £39 million move from Atlanta.
