Nuno Espirito Santo has reportedly agreed to become the Westham United new manager following the sack of Graham Potter.
Potter’s nine months reign as coach of the Hammers ended on Saturday after a run of poor results from the second half of last season.
Westham United confirmed the departure of the former Chelsea manager in statement on its website on Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, Nuno Espirito Santo is set to become Westham United’s new head coach according to reports.
The Portuguese manager is back into management weeks after he was laid off at Nottingham Forest.
Despite last season’s achievements, the relationship between Espirito Santo and club owner Evagelos Marinakis got sour during the off the season over public criticism of the club’s transfer strategy.
Also, the the former Wolverhampton Wanderers coach also fell out with the club’s new global head of football Edu.
Nuno Espirito Santo guided Nottingham Forest to European football for the first time in over three decades as they secured an Europa League spot.
According to reports, Espirito Santo could be in charge when Westham travel to Mersyeside to take on Everton on Monday night.
