Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr. has reportedly rejected a new deal to remain at the club as his future remains undecided.
Vinicius Jr.’s current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2027, but negotiations over a new deal have stalled, according to reports in Spain.
His relationship with the head coach of the club, Xabi Alonso, appears to have hit a wall since the start of the season.
Vinicius Jr feels persecuted by the Spanish manager over his frequent substitutions for other players in the squad.

His frustrations became evident as he stormed into the dressing room after he was substituted in the El Clásico last month.
Once perceived as the “face” of the club, given his exploits over the last few years, the Brazilian winger feels he has become less important with the arrival of Alonso.
The player feels it’s best not to put pen to paper, given his current situation with the manager, who is walking on thin ice as Real Madrid’s form continues to be deep.
A report in Spain had earlier revealed that the club and Vinicius Jr. had reached full agreement.
However, Real Madrid’s reporter, Mario Cortegana, told The Athletic that: “
At that meeting [last month], the subject of Vinicius Jr’s future was also discussed. He made it known that he feels extending is not the best option for him due to his relationship with Alonso. There has been no change in that position since.
‘Sources close to the Brazilian have several times told The Athletic of concerns he has with Alonso, who was appointed as Carlo Ancelotti’s replacement back in May. Over the first three months of the new season, tensions have only grown. Now, it is a topic of daily debate inside and outside the club.’
