Brighton & Hove Albion Women have proudly celebrated their goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie’s nomination for the 2025 Ballon d’Or Yachine Trophy, which honors the world’s top goalkeepers.
The 24-year-old Nigerian earned her first-ever nomination among five elite shot-stoppers selected by the award’s organizers, a testament to her remarkable talent.

Nnadozie’s recognition stems from her stellar performances with her former club, Paris FC, where she played a crucial role in their Coupe de France Féminine triumph in May.
Her heroics continued on the international stage, as she was instrumental in Nigeria’s Super Falcons clinching the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco last month.
Since joining Brighton, Nnadozie has quickly become a fan favorite, and the club took to social media to share their excitement, posting on X:
“Congratulations to #WAFCON24 winner @NadozieChiamaka with a well-deserved #BallonDor Yachine Trophy nomination!”
Her nomination highlights her growing influence in women’s football, and a reward for a fantastic season and WAFCON triumph.
