Bayern Munich Crowned Champions
Bayern Munich secured their 34th Bundesliga title, and first since 1932, after Freiburg’s 2-2 draw with Bayer Leverkusen left Bayern eight points clear with two games left.

Harry Kane, 31, celebrated his first career trophy, shedding the “curse” narrative after near-misses with Bayern, Tottenham, and England. Bayern’s record signing in 2023, Kane, endured a trophyless season last year but was all smiles singing “We are the champions!” with teammates in Munich, doused in beer alongside Joshua Kimmich.
A 3-3 draw in Leipzig, with Yussuf Poulsen’s last-gasp equalizer, delayed the party, but Freiburg’s result sealed it. Bayern will lift the trophy after their next home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach, where Thomas Müller, retiring after 25 years and 13 titles, will receive a hero’s farewell.
Meanwhile, Freiburg’s draw against Leverkusen kept them fourth, one point ahead of Borussia Dortmund and two points above Leipzig, in the race for Champions League qualification.
Maximilian Eggestein’s first-half strike and Piero Hincapie’s own-goal gave Freiburg control, but Florian Wirtz and Jonathan Tah’s late goals salvaged a point for Leverkusen, who lacked spark with second place already secured.
