Asante Kotoko edged Kwara United 4–3 in Kumasi after a pulsating contest, with Albert Amoah’s brace proving decisive despite Johnmark Atule’s double for the visitors.
In Blantyre, Mighty Wanderers stunned Jwaneng Galaxy 1–0 through Felix Zulu’s late strike, while Congo’s AS Otohô earned a crucial 2–1 away win at Primeiro de Agosto in Luanda.
Zanzibar’s KMKM rallied to beat Port 2–1 in Djibouti, and Abia Warriors were denied a famous win when Mali’s Djoliba struck late for a 1–1 draw in Nigeria.
Elsewhere, Black Man Warrior and Coton FC finished 0–0 in Monrovia, Génération Foot and Académie de FAD drew 1–1 in Dakar, and Somalia’s Dekedda edged Zamala Ruwaba 1–0 in Mogadishu.
