Mamelodi Sundowns and Pyramids FC have progressed to the final of the CAF Champions League.

Sundowns secured their spot after holding Al Ahly to a 1-1 draw in Cairo. Taher Mohamed gave Al Ahly the lead, but Yasser Ibrahim’s stoppage-time own goal sent Sundowns through on the away goals rule, 1-1 on aggregate.
In the other semifinal, Pyramids edged out Orlando Pirates 3-2, winning the tie 5-4 on aggregate.

Fiston Mayele scored twice, and Ramadan Sobhi added a headed goal, while Relebohile Mofokeng and Mohau Nkota scored for Pirates.
The CAF Champions League final will feature Sundowns and Pyramids, with the first leg taking place in South Africa on May 24 and the second leg in Egypt on June 1.
This will mark the Pyramids’ first-ever appearance in the competition’s final.
