Champions League football fades Nottingham Forest fall to Brentford at City Ground

Nottingham Forest’s hope of playing Champions League football nest season appears to be fading off gradually.

The Tricky Trees have been off form lately and the visitors adeed to their miseries with a 2-0 victory at the City Ground on Thursday night.

Ola Aina returned to the line-up for the first time in over five games but the Super Eagles defender unfortunately, couldn’t help his team avoid defeat.

Kevin Schade put Brentford ahead just before halftime with a fantastic shot into the bottom corner.

Mats Selz stopped Bryan Mbuemo from doubling the lead a fww minutes into the second half with a fine save to keep the scoreline the same.

Anthony Elanga, on the other end fired a ferocious shot towards goal but Dutch goalkeepeer Mark Flekken denied the Swedish winger with a miraculous save.

Mark Flekken teed up Yoane Wissa with a sublime assist and the DR Congo forward rolled the ball past Sels to double the lead for Brentford.

The vistors left the City Ground with a clean sheet and maximum points while Nottingham Forest risk missing out on Champions League football as they sit sixth with 60 points with four matches left.
