Real Madrid bounced back from their matchday 2 defeat to Lille in style, defeating Borussia Dortmund 5-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu in UEFA Champions League matchday 3 action.
Dortmund started strong, with Donyell Malen scoring on 30 minutes and then setting up Jamie Bynoe-Gittens soon after. But Real Madrid turned it around in the second half.
Antonio Rudiger headed home a brilliant Kylian Mbappe cross to make it 2-1 after an hour. Vinicius Junior equalized minutes later, and Lucas Vazquez completed the comeback on 84 minutes.
Vinicius then took over, scoring a stunning solo goal for 4-2 and sealing his hat-trick in stoppage time.
It wasn’t easy, but Real Madrid got the job done. This win sets them up nicely for this weekend’s massive Clasico against Barcelona at the Bernabeu.
