CHAN Eagles beat Remo Stars to stir up preparation for Ghana

Super Eagles B – the CHAN Eagles are gearing up in good momentum to the blockbuster African Nations Championship qualifier against the Black Galaxies of Ghana.

The CHAN Eagles continued their run of friendly matches on Wednesday as they took on Remo Stars at the home turf of the Ikenne-based club.

The match ended 2-1 in favour of the CHAN Eagles courtesy of goals from Shooting Stars forward Samuel Ayorinde and Enugu Rangers midfielder Isaac Saviour.

Isaac Saviour gave the CHAN Eagles an early lead while Samuel Ayorinde doubled the advantage on the 75th minute.

However, Remo Stars Victor Iboro  pulled one back to reduce the deficit.

The CHAN Eagles are expected to depart Ikenne on Friday for the first leg of the qualifier billed for the Accra Sports Stadium.

Coach Austin Eguavoen will be assisted by Daniel Ogunmodede and Fidelis Ilechukwu in the two-legged tie.

The Godswill Akpabio International Stadium will host the return fixture on 28 December as the CHAN Eagles look to qualify for the tournament for the first time since 2018.
