Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Reece James and Wesley Fofana will miss Sunday’s Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur due to injury.

Mykhailo Mudryk will also be absent as he battles illness.

Maresca provided an update on the injured duo, saying:

“Both [Reece James and Wesley Fofana] are slowly getting better. But it is a matter of weeks so they are still far. “The only one who is still ill is Mykhailo Mudryk.

“The rest, they are all OK.”

Despite the absentees, Chelsea are still slight favourites in this London derby, thanks to their impressive form this season.

The likes of Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson have performed at a high level consistently, propelling the Blues to a surprise second spot in the standings.

Maresca has enough depth to handle a mini-injury crisis, and a win against Tottenham would solidify their position as title contenders.
