Chukwueze, Aina, Umar, and three others pull out of Super Eagles vs. Russia friendly

The Super Eagles squad to face Russia on Friday, June 6, will witness a couple of changes,s, with a couple of players pulling out already.

The withdrawals from the squad are due to a couple of reasons, including injuries, visa renewal,l, and family issues.

Stanley Nwabali will be unavailable for the fixture as he travels back home to prepare for the final rites of his parent’s burial.

Udinese’s Maduka Okoye and Tanzania-based Amas Obasogie will contest for the first starting shirt on Friday.

Nottingham Forest’s defender Ola Aina has excused himself from the team after a long season with Nottingham Forest.

Consequently, Eric Chelle has drafted Remo Stars Sodiq Ismail and Brentford’s Benjamin Fredrick who impressed in the match against Jamaica.
