A winner from Angel Correa deep into stoppage time stunned PSG at the Parc des Princes, giving Atletico a 2-1 victory over the hosts.
PSG took an early lead through Warren Zaire-Emery who chipped the ball delicately over Jan Oblak in the 14th minute. However, their lead did not last long as Nahuel Molina scored an equaliser for the Los Rojiblancos in the 18th minute.
With the match looking set to end in a stalemate, Atletico countered and scored a sensational winner as Antoine Griezmann floated the ball to Correa who finished it into the far corner past Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Having lost back-to-back matches against Benfica and Lille, the win puts Atletico back on track to at least make the play-off round of the new-look Champions League.
The loss puts PSG in a difficult position as last season’s semi-finalists have just four points from four games. Qualification for the next round is in doubt as they fave Bayern Munich and Manchester City in their upcoming games.
