Swiss midfielder Dan Ndoye made the difference as Bologna stunned AC Milan to win the Coppa Italia title.
Ndoye’s second half strike gave Bologna their first in over five decades which ended AC Milan’s dream of winning a double.
Both teams renewed hostilities at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, five days after AC Milan secured a 3-1 win.
Lukasz Skorupski saved Bologna from an embarrassing start as made a sublime save to deny Luka Jovic from grabbing the opener after Sam Beukema’s error.

AC Milan had only a shot on target in the first half as Bologna dominated possession and forced Mike Maignan to make three routine saves.
Bologna eventually found the breakthrough in the early stages of the second half. The ball fell to Dan Ndoye from a last-ditch tackle on Riccardo Orsolini.
The Swiss midfielder showed composure before spotting the ball into the back of the net to put Bologna ahead.
Ndoye’s goal was enough to seal victory for Bologna as they claimed their first title in 51 years.
