Ruben Amorim recorded his first Premier League win as Manchester United boss, as the Red Devils demolished Everton 4-0 at Old Trafford.
Manchester United came into this game needing all three points to move into the top half of the PL table, and their intent to attack was evident from the first whistle.
Everton struggled to get going but eventually began to threaten on the counter, led by Beto. However, Amorim’s men took the lead on 34 minutes through Marcus Rashford’s deflected volley, after a Bruno Fernandes corner.
The Red Devils doubled their lead before halftime, thanks to Joshua Zirkzee’s fine finish, again from a Fernandes set-up.
Any hopes of an Everton comeback were quickly dashed as Rashford scored his second goal just 21 seconds into the second half.
United continued to dominate, with Amad Diallo setting up Zirkzee for his second goal.
The win marked United’s fourth consecutive victory at Old Trafford, while Everton suffered their sixth defeat in 13 games, leaving them dangerously close to the relegation zone.
