Granada CF Femenino staged an impressive second-half comeback to defeat Deportivo ABANCA 2-1 at the ABANCA Riazor, with Edna Imade playing a crucial role in securing the three points.
The victory lifts Granada to 45 points as they continue their strong campaign.
The first half saw Granada under pressure, with Sandra producing an early save to deny Millene. However, Deportivo soon took the lead through Millene, who capitalized on an assist from Ainhoa Marín. Despite limited chances, Granada almost equalized before halftime when Lauri struck the post.
After the break, Granada turned the tide, much like they had against Valencia. The introduction of Alexia sparked more attacking momentum, and Edna Imade and Laura Pérez began to threaten the Deportivo defense. The breakthrough came via Ornella Vignola, whose thunderous strike from distance left Yohana with no chance.
Moments later, Edna Imade took center stage. Receiving the ball on the left, she cut inside and fired a clinical shot into the far corner, completing the comeback and sealing a vital win for the red-and-white side.
Granada CF Femenino now looks ahead to their next challenge, hosting Real Madrid on Sunday, May 4.
