Chidera Ejuke had a very impressive performance in Sevilla’s slim win over Real Sociedad at the San Sebastian on Sunday evening.
The Super Eagles striker scored the only goal of the encounter at the resumption of the second half to secure maximum points for the visitors.
Ejuke featured for 70 minutes as he registered his second La Liga goal of the season and his first since he returned from injury.in January.
The encounter had a few half chances but Sevilla converted one from the four shots they had on the night.
Chidera Ejuke controlled Saul Niguez’s pass skillfully in the box before burying the ball into the back of the net.
The win takes Sevilla above Real Sociedad on the log as they break ino the top half of the table with 36 points from 27 matches.
On the flip side Chidera Ejuke is in Eric Chelle’s 39-man provisional list for Super Eagles FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe later this month.
The winger has been in and out of the national team but will contend with nine forwards for a spot in the team ahead of the qualifiers.
