As the 2024–25 Premier League season nears its conclusion, today’s fixtures delivered significant moments for several clubs.

Everton bid an emotional farewell to Goodison Park with a victory, West Ham United’s European aspirations suffered a blow, and Jamie Vardy marked his final Leicester appearance with a milestone goal.

Everton 2–0 Southampton

In their final match at the iconic Goodison Park, Everton secured a 2–0 win over Southampton. Iliman Ndiaye was the hero of the day, netting both goals to ensure a memorable send-off for the historic stadium.

The victory not only provided a fitting farewell but also bolstered Everton’s position in the league as they look ahead to a new chapter in their history.

Nottingham Forest 2–1 West Ham United

West Ham United’s aspirations for European qualification took a hit with a 2–1 defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Despite entering the match with momentum from a recent victory over Manchester United, the Hammers were unable to capitalize, conceding crucial goals that left them empty-handed.

The loss underscores the competitive nature of the league’s final stretch and the challenges teams face in securing continental competition spots.

Leicester City 2–0 Ipswich Town

Jamie Vardy concluded his illustrious Leicester City career by scoring his 200th goal for the club in a 2–0 Premier League victory over Ipswich Town on Sunday.

The match marked Vardy’s 500th appearance for Leicester, occurring exactly 13 years after joining from Fleetwood Town. Vardy opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a composed finish following a strong midfield run and assist by James Justin.

Leicester’s second goal came in the 69th minute when Kasey McAteer fired a powerful strike into the net after receiving a first-time pass from Wilfred Ndidi.

Despite the win, both Leicester and Ipswich have been relegated, with Leicester finishing 18th on 25 points and Ipswich 19th with 22 points. The match served as an emotional farewell for 38-year-old Vardy, celebrating a milestone end to a remarkable chapter in Leicester’s history.
