The European football weekend was filled with thrilling moments, shocking upsets, big wins and big goals.

Here’s a roundup of the winners and losers.

Winners: Justin Kluivert

Bournemouth’s Justin Kluivert made history in the Premier League by scoring a hat-trick from the penalty spot against Wolves. His impressive performance helped his team secure a 4-2 win, making him the man of the match.

Winners: Olympique de Marseille

Marseille finally broke their home curse, winning only their second match at the Velodrome this season. They defeated Monaco 2-1, moving into second place behind PSG in Ligue 1. Manager Roberto De Zerbi’s team showed great resilience and determination to secure the win.

Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League with a convincing 2-0 win over Manchester City. Mohamed Salah’s outstanding performance and Arne Slot’s tactical genius helped the Reds secure a crucial victory. They now hold a 9-point lead, making them strong contenders for the title.

Losers: Barcelona

Barcelona’s dominance in LaLiga is under threat after they suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat to Las Palmas at home. This loss has allowed Real Madrid and Atletico to close the gap, leaving Barcelona with a lot of work to do to maintain their lead.

Losers: Manchester City

Manchester City’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool marked their fourth loss of the season and sixth defeat in their last seven games. Pep Guardiola’s team is now outside the top four, and another defeat could effectively end their title hopes.

Losers: Leipzig

Leipzig suffered a humiliating 5-1 defeat to Wolfsburg at home, their worst home defeat in over five years. They have now gone six games without a win, and manager Marco Rose is under immense pressure. Another defeat could spell the end of his tenure as manager.
