Super Eagles midfielder Chrisantus Uche has completed a move to Crystal Palace on a season-long loan from Getafe.
The 22-year-old joins the reigning FA Cup champions, having been linked to Wolverhampton Wanderers until last week when the deal collapsed.
Crystal Palace confirmed the arrival of the versatile midfielder on transfer deadline day on its social media pages and in a club statement via its website.
Meanwhile, Getafe has confirmed that Crystal Palace are mandated to buy Chrisantus Uche at the expiration of his loan deal.
The fee is reported to be in the region of €18 million, with the potential of rising to €22 million next summer.
The transfer fee will provide Getafe with funds to register players, including Javi Muñoz, Juanmi, Sancris, Abdel Abqar, and Neyou, and Kiko Femenía
Getafe acquired Chrisantus from the Spanish third division side, Ceuta, in 2024 for €500,000, and has arguably been the best player in the José Bordalás Getafe era.
Chrisantus Uche scored four goals and provided six assists in 33 matches as Getafe finished 13th in the Spanish La Liga last season.
