Ghana Black Stars took a stwp closer to qualifying for the World Cup after a convincing win over Madagascar away from home.
Otto Addo’s men came into the match on the back of a comprehensive 5-0 win over Chad on Thursday in Accra replicated the form against the “home side” on Monday night.
Arsenal’s midfielder Thomas Partey bagged a brace on the night while Westham’s Mohammed Kudus also found the back of the net in the 3-0 win.
Ghana’s victory over Chad and Madagascar take the Black Stars to 15 points from six matches as they go top of Group I.
Meanwhile Cote D’Ivoire also took a big step towards qualification as well with a slim win over Gambia on Monday night.
The reigning champions of Africa secured a 1-0 in Abidjan to maintain their spot on top of Group F with 16 points – a point above Gabon in second place.
Meanwhile Mali missed the opportunity to close the gap on Ghana as the Eagles were held to a stalemate away at Central Africa Republic.
