‘Go to Italy’ — Marcus Rashford advised to leave Manchester United

England legend Paul Gascoigne has given some blunt advice to struggling Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

The former England attacking midfielder believes it’s time for Rashford to move to Italy and revive his career.

Rashford’s struggles at Old Trafford have been well-documented, and his omission from England’s Euro 2024 squad, which narrowly lost to Spain in the final, has only fueled speculation.

Gascoigne, who knows a thing or two about high-pressure football, believes Rashford’s unhappiness is obvious.

“Yeah, definitely, I think so,” he told SportsCasting when asked if Rashford should exit Manchester United.

“I love Rashford, I think he’s an unbelievable player, but he just doesn’t seem to care. Even when he scores, he doesn’t seem happy about it, so something is going on there.”

Gascoigne thinks a change of scenery, particularly in Italy, could be just what Rashford needs.

“For Rashford, he doesn’t seem happy playing in England anyway. And some good clubs will come in for him. Go to Italy, that will shake him up.”

By making the move, Rashford could follow in the footsteps of Romelu Lukaku, who transformed his career after leaving United for Inter Milan.
