The couple has been living apart for nearly five years, with Cristina residing in Barcelona to manage her fashion business, while Guardiola remained in Manchester due to his managerial commitments.
Despite the separation, sources indicate that their relationship remains cordial and friendly. The couple has been discreet about their personal lives, and they have requested privacy during this time.
Guardiola, 53, has been at the helm of Manchester City since 2016, leading the club to multiple Premier League titles and a UEFA Champions League victory in 2023. Serra, 52, is a Brazilian journalist and businesswoman who owns a fashion boutique in Barcelona.
The separation comes during a challenging season for Manchester City, with the team experiencing a dip in form, currently sitting 12 points behind league leaders Liverpool.
