Manchester City superstar striker Erling Haaland has signed a new long-term contract to keep him at the club until 2034.
The 24-year-old’s terms were due to expire in 2027 with a reported release clause of around £175m, but according to the Athletic, those clauses have been removed.
The contract is a nine-and-a-half-year deal, expected to keep the 24-year-old at the Etihad Stadium until he turns 34.
The contract effectively kills any chances of the City star joining Barcelona and Real Madrid, who have been linked with the striker for several years.
Since joining Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022 for a fee of €60million, Haaland has been in phenomenal form, scoring an impressive 111 goals in just 126 appearances.
His impressive tally has helped the club secure numerous honors, including two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, the Champions League, and a Super Cup.
