Former Besiktas forward Nihat Kahveci has drawn a striking comparison between Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen and Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
Osimhen, who has been on loan at Galatasaray since the summer, has been in scintillating form, scoring 10 goals in all competitions.
He has filled the void caused by Mauro Icardi’s season-ending injury and continued to deliver the goods on a weekly basis.
Kahveci, speaking on Kontraspor’s YouTube channel via Haber Global, praised the Nigerian’s incredible speed and athleticism, saying:
“He’s like Cristiano (Ronaldo). I thought I was fast when I was running with him.
“There’s a sports button in cars, Osimhen is the same. He stretched very well, another centre forward couldn’t easily reach that ball.”
Meanwhile, Osimhen’s impressive performances have sparked interest from top European clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, despite the speculation, the 25-year-old is expected to remain with Galatasaray for the remainder of the season.
