Super Eagles goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye says manager, Eric Chelle is a good coach, warm and friendly with his players.
He revealed that the French-Ivorian manager has a good relationship with all the players.
Adeleye also expressed his delight at working with his colleagues in between the sticks, Stanley Nwabali and Amas Obasogie ahead of the qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa.
He (Eric Chelle) is a good coach, very friendly with the players. I feel good and I am happy to be back to the squad again,” the Volos FC goalkeeper told Football Fans Tribe.
“Amazing guys (Nwabali and Obasogie) and I’m happy to work with them as well.”
The Volos FC goalkeeper says securing maximum points against Rwanda is non-negotiable as the Super Eagles look to revive their World Cup ambition.
“The most important thing is to win this game, it’s a very important game for us to win and we just have to give our best and get a better result to help us qualify for the World Cup.
“I have good feelings with the players and we are ready to play.”
The Super Eagles are seeking redemption having lost to the Wasps in their last meeting at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in November 2024 in an inconsequential 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
However, the stakes are much higher this time as any result other than a win will put the chances of Super Eagles qualifying for the World Cup in further jeopardy.
Nigeria will host Rwanda on Saturday, September 6 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium before travelling to Blomfontein to take on South Africa.
The Super Eagles are condemned to secure maximum points in both matches to get their hope of qualifying for the World Cup back on track.
