Victor Osimhen has been making some interesting revelations about some of his former teammates in his early Super Eagles days.
The 27-year-old striker said one of the “senior players” in the team chased him away from camp when he wanted to get boots from Kelechi Iheanacho in 2017.
However, the former Sevilla and Leicester City striker frowned at the action of the said player and brought him into the camp.
Victor Osimhen made his revelation on the livestream of Carter Efe during his time off in Lagos recently.
When speaking about former Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi, Osimhen said the former Chelsea midfielder was nice to him.
Osimhen said during his first time in Super Eagles camp as a player, Mikel Obi invited him into his hotel room and gave him money.
“I met Mikel Obi when they first invited me to the Super Eagles,” he explained. “We finished eating, and he told me to follow him to his room immediately, and he gave me money.”
Victor Osimhen and the former Chelsea midfielder shared the pitch twice for the Super Eagles, in matches against Zimbabwe and Senegal, before Mikel announced his retirement from international football in July 2019.
Osimhen and Mikel Obi also won bronze medals for the Super Eagles at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
