The Seleção crashed out of the 2024 Copa America after losing 4-2 on penalties to Uruguay.

Brazil are also yet to play in a FIFA World Cup final since 2002 – the last time they won it.

The women’s national team despite participating in every edition of the FIFA Women’s World since 1991 are yet to lift the trophy.

Their last outing ended on a disastrous note as they crashed out in the group stage of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

However, As Canarinhas won silver at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.

Ednaldo Rodrigues is the current president of the federation. The 70-year-old was elected president on March 23rd, 2022.
