Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has been playing some of the best football of his career with Fulham this season.
The former Arsenal man scored a brace in Fulham’s thrilling 3-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday night and has now set his sights on maintaining his goal-scoring form for Marco Silva’s men.
Speaking after the game, Iwobi said;
“We wanted to get a win on the board after our last game against Spurs, and there’s no better place to do it than at our place.
“I should be getting more goals but it was good to get them for the team.
“We see the ability in training. This performance gives us a boost going into Arsenal, who are on a good run.”
Fulham will host Arsenal at Craven Cottage on Sunday, and Iwobi’s recent form will undoubtedly be a confidence booster for Silva’s side, who find themselves in contention for European places after a fine start to the season.
