Kelechi Iheanacho was among the goalscorers in Sevilla’s 3-1 victory over Olot on Thursday night to advance to the round of 32 of the Copa Del Rey.
Sevilla started out looking to dominate but later conceded a penalty after Agoume felled an opponent in the box which was saved by Alvaro Ferrlo.
Sevilla then got a penalty of their own after an Olot defender handled the ball in the box which was duly converted by Gonzalo Montiel to give the visitors the lead in the 22nd minute, enough to separate the two sides at the end of the first half.
In the second half, Iheanacho produced a great individual move that ended with a powerful long-range shot with his left foot that went just wide of the goal.
Not too long after, Juanlu doubled Sevilla’s lead after pouncing on a cross from Barco from the left wing in the 48th minute.
Iheanacho then got in on the act as he scored Sevilla’s third of the night, converting a pass by Idumbo into the net before Oriol Ayala headed home a consolation goal for the hosts in stoppage time.
Sevilla will be in action on Sunday against Atletico Madrid and Iheanacho, who has been struggling with playing time, will be hoping to play a part.
