FC Bayern Frauen have today formally announced the signing of forward, Edna Imade, who joins the club from Granada CF on a contract running through June 30, 2029.
At 24 years old, Imade will immediately be loaned to Real Sociedad for the 2025–26 season as part of a long-term development strategy.
Imade enjoyed an outstanding 2024–25 campaign in Spain’s Liga F, finishing as the second‑highest scorer with 16 goals in 29 appearances—tied with Alexia Putellas and behind only Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor, who scored 25.
Bayern Women sporting director Bianca Rech praised Imade as a “player with an exciting profile,” pointing to her speed, physicality, and adaptability up front.
She explained that the decision to send Imade on loan follows internal discussions aimed at facilitating her ongoing development while integrating her into Bayern’s long‑term plans.
Imade herself expressed pride at joining a club with Bayern’s global stature, calling the move one of the most important in her career. She described herself as a strong finisher and team player, capable of cutting in from the wings or leading the line centrally.
Her loan spell at Real Sociedad is expected to provide valuable experience in a competitive environment before she returns to Munich to compete for a permanent place in Bayern’s squad.
