Isak, Martinez, Nuno scoop December PL awards

The Premier League has announced its award winners for December 2024, recognizing outstanding performances across the league.

Manager of the Month: Nuno Espírito Santo (Nottingham Forest)

Nuno Espírito Santo has been named Barclays Manager of the Month for December beating Andoni Iraola, Arne Slot and Eddie Howe to the prize.

Under his leadership, Nottingham Forest achieved significant victories, including a 2-1 win over Manchester United and a 3-0 triumph against Aston Villa, propelling the team into the top half of the league standings.

This is the sixth time the Portuguese has won the award and the second time this season.

Player and Goal of the Month: Alexander Isak (Newcastle United)

Alexander Isak has been awarded the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for December. The Swedish striker was in exceptional form, scoring eight goals and providing two assists over six matches. His contributions were instrumental in Newcastle United’s ascent up the Premier League table during the festive period.

In addition to his Player of the Month accolade, Isak’s remarkable goal in Newcastle United’s 3-3 draw against Liverpool was voted the Guinness Goal of the Month.

Save of the Month: Emiliano Martínez (Aston Villa)

Emiliano Martínez has been recognized with the Premier League Save of the Month award for December  for his wonderful goalline save during the match against Nottingham Forest.
