President of Inter Milan, Beppe Marotta, has revealed that this week will be crucial in sealing or walking away from the Ademola Lookman deal.
Marotta says the club is interested in signing the reigning African Footballer of the Year but are aware of Atalanta’s valuation of the player.
Beppe Marotta told the media the club will try to seal the deal this week; otherwise, they will move on to other alternatives. He says he hopes Inter Milan and Atalanta reach an agreement in two or three days.
“This week will be crucial for Lookman deal”.
“We are in talks for Ademola Lookman, we want him but we also respect Atalanta”.
“In 2-3 days we hope to proceed and be able to get the deal done otherwise we will move on and focus on other players”.
Ademola Lookman has been on Inter Milan’s radar after delivering yet another impressive performance last season.
The 27-year-old forward helped Atalanta qualify for the Champions League as she scored 15 goals and provided five assists in 31 matches.
Lookman has also been linked to a move to Atletico Madrid, but reports say that the winger prefers a move to the Italian capital.
Atalanta values Ademola Lookman in the region of €60 million, but Inter Milan are reportedly offering €40 million, excluding add-ons and bonuses for the Super Eagles forward.
