Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has expressed strong confidence in Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho’s ability to regain his top form.
Iheanacho, who recently joined Celtic, is reuniting with Rodgers after a challenging stint in Spain and England.
The 28-year-old Nigerian signed a three-year deal with Sevilla last summer but struggled, failing to score a league goal during his six-month stay.
His fortunes didn’t improve significantly during a loan spell at Middlesbrough in the EFL Championship, where he scored once and provided two assists, as Michael Carrick’s side fell short of the play-offs.

Now, Iheanacho is back under Rodgers’ guidance at Celtic Park, hoping to rediscover the form that saw him excel at Leicester City, scoring 19 goals and registering six assists in 39 appearances across all competitions under Rodgers.
Now Rodgers believes Iheanacho can help Celtic chase in Scotland.
“I know Kelechi so well and I know what he can bring to the team,” Rodgers told the Celtic website.
“He is such a talented player, with great ability, athleticism, and work rate. I am sure he will love being at Celtic, and I believe our fans will love what he brings.
“He has great experience, and he is right in his peak years, so he can be a great signing for us. I am sure he will make a big contribution to the team,” the 52-year-old concluded.
