Kenya recorded a landmark 1-0 victory over Morocco in the African Nations Championship, delighting a packed crowd at the Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi.
Ryan Ogam produced the decisive moment just before halftime, firing home with his left foot after an initial shot was blocked. The match took a dramatic turn in first-half stoppage time when Chrispine Erambo was shown a straight red card, upgraded via VAR, leaving Kenya to play the entire second half with 10 men.
Despite Morocco’s relentless pressure after the break, the hosts defended resolutely to secure their first-ever CHAN win over the two-time champions.
The result leaves Kenya unbeaten with seven points from three matches, putting them on the brink of a historic quarter-final place.

In the day’s other Group A fixture, Angola staged a stunning late comeback to defeat Zambia 2-1.
Dominic Chanda had given Zambia the lead in the 73rd minute, but substitute Kaporal turned the game on its head, scoring twice in quick succession — first in the 79th minute and again seven minutes later — to seal all three points.
The victory moves Angola to four points from three games, while Zambia remain without a point and rooted to the bottom of the standings.
The results leave Kenya leading the group, with Angola now in second place as the race for the knockout stage intensifies.
