Liverpool took another step towards the title with a 1-0 victory over Everton at Anfield.
The Reds started the game usual high tempo, energetic fashion, but their momentum was halted by a reckless challenge from James Tarkowski on Alexis Mac Allister, which surprisingly didn’t warrant a red card.

The Reds had a let-off when Beto’s goal was correctly ruled out for offside, and their first real chance came when Mohamed Salah’s header was saved by Jordan Pickford.
Everton had the better of the first half, with Beto causing problems for Virgil van Dijk. However, Liverpool improved in the second half, and Diogo Jota scored the decisive goal, dancing through challenges before firing in to make it 1-0.
The goal revitalized the Anfield crowd and gave Liverpool more confidence in possession. Curtis Jones impressed in an unfamiliar role, and the Reds held on for a crucial win.
The three points edge Liverpool closer to the title, with 13 points now the maximum needed to confirm their status as champions.
