Jamie Carragher has boldly declared Inter Milan’s epic clash with Barcelona as the greatest semi-final in UEFA Champions League history.
On Tuesday night, Inter sent shockwaves through football by knocking out Barcelona in a heart-stopping second leg, clinching a 4-3 victory in a match that had everything—goals, drama, and pure chaos.

The Serie A giants flew out of the blocks, with Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu firing them to a 2-0 lead by halftime. But Barcelona stormed back with Eric Garcia and Dani Olmo leveling the score, before Raphinha flipped the script to put the Blaugrana ahead.
Just when it seemed Barcelona might steal it, Francesco Acerbi pulled Inter back to 3-3, setting the stage for a nail-biting finish. In extra time, Davide Frattesi delivered the dagger, scoring the decisive goal to send Simone Inzaghi’s men into the final as the San Siro erupted.

Carragher, still buzzing from the spectacle, didn’t hold back his praise. “When you look back at history, the Champions League semifinal is one of the most entertaining and high-quality games that you will ever see in football.
“This is right up there and not right up there, this is arguably one of the best, if not the best, in the Champions League era,” he raved on CBS Sports.
