Brazilian striker Richarlison Andrade grabbed a late equaliser at Anfield to help Tottenham Hotspur end their six-game losing streak.
Richarlison got to the end of Kolo Muani’s pass in the box after Liverpool failed to clear their lines and tucked the ball into the bottom corner late in the tie.
Liverpool were made to pay for their sloppiness in front of goal in the second half as Igor Tudor earned his first point as Tottenham Hotspur’s manager.
Hungarian midfielder, Dominik Szobozlai had earlier given the Reds the lead from his trademark sublime free-kick in the first half.
However, despite having a plethora of chances to seal the game, the Reds were woeful in front of goal even with the introduction of Mohammed Salah who also missed a couple.
The result leaves Liverpool’s chances of securing hanging the balance as they failed to take advantage of Chelsea’s and Aston Villa’s losses.
Tottenham on the other hand will look to build on the 1-1 draw as they continue to fight to stay very clear of relegation.
