Liverpool have submitted their official bid for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi with less than 48-hours left in the summer transfer window.
The Reds have been keen on signing the English center back all summer as they look to further strengthen their defense having signed 18-year-old Giovanni Leoni from Parma.
Liverpool, according to reports submitted a bid of £35 million for the defender without any add-ons as they wait for Crystal Palace’s response.
Marc Guehi featured in 34 Premier League matches for Crystal Palace last season as the club finished 12th on the log.
The 25-year-old was also crucial as he helped the Eagles win their first-ever trophy in five decades – the FA Cup win over Manchester City.
Liverpool will hope to get the deal over the line before deadline day with the player reportedly keen to joining the Premier League champions.
Marc Guehi is in his final year of his contract as Crystal Palace risk losing him for free next season. The player has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Liverpool pending on club to club agreement.
Marc Guehi will be on international duty with the over the next two weeks with the English national team as the Three Lions take on Andorra and Serbia.
