The Reds dream of winning a treble this season is officially dead and buried after crashing out of the Champions League on penalties to PSG at Anfield.

Gianluigui Donnarumma had an outstanding performance in regular time and during the shootout as he helped Paris Saint-Germain qualify for the last 8.

The Parisiens came into the match with a goal deficit from the first leg but quickly erased it 12 minutes into the match.

Ousmane Dembele pounced on Ibrahima Konate’s failed clearance in the box to put the French champions ahead at Anfield.

The Italian shotsttopper pulled off a magnificent save to stop Luis Diaz’s header from touching the back of the net just before the hour mark.

Ousmane Dembele powered a left-footed effort towards goal late in extra time to seal the game but Alisson Becker reacted swiftly to the ball out of danger.

Gianluigui Donnarumma stole the show in the penalty shootout as he saved Darwin Nunez’s and Curtis Jones’ penalties.

However, Allison Becker was helpless in between the sticks as Vitinha Dembele, Ramos, and Doue converted their spot kicks.

The shootout ended 4-1 in favour of Paris Saint-Germain as they progress into the last 8 of the Champions League.
