French president, Emmanuel Macron has gifted Nigeria President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu with France’s iconic No 10 jersey.

Tinubu, who is currently in France to pay a diplomatic visit to Macron, was handed the number 10 jersey, worn by Real Madrid superstar, Kylian Mbappe as a symbol of the strong diplomatic relationship between their countries.

In a video posted on X, Macron was seen smiling and said, “Number 10 like Mbappé. And this is number 10″ with Tinubu clearly delighted to receive the jersey.

Macron also spoke warmly about his relationship with Nigeria, recalling his early years as an intern at the French Embassy in the country. “It’s an honour for France to welcome you, President Bola Tinubu, as a major partner and friend,” Macron said.
