Manchester City on the brink of Champions League exit after PSG’s sensation comeback win

The defending champions failed to secure three points at the Parc Des Princes on Wednesday against Paris Saint-Germain.  Manchester City, despite taking a two-goal lead early in the second half, capitulated as the home aid rallied back and completed a dramatic 4-2 win.

Manchester City on the brink of Champions League exit after PSG sensation comeback win

Manchester City are at risk of not qualifying for the playoffs of the UEFA Champions League.

The defending champions failed to secure three points at the Parc Des Princes on Wednesday against Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester City, despite taking a two-goal lead early in the second half, capitulated as the home aid rallied back and completed a dramatic 4-2 win.

Gianluigi Donnarumma pulled off great saves a couple times to deny the visitors in the first half.

Achraf Hakimi gave PSG the lead from Bradley Barcola’s pass, but his goal was judged offside after a VAR review.

Manchester City took a deserved lead five minutes into the second half. Jack Grealish pounded on a rebound from Bernardo Silva’s initial attempt towards goal.

Erling Haaland took advantage of a scramble in the box as he fired a rebound into goal to double Manchester City’s lead.

Manchester City’s woes in defense got the better of them as they fell apart three minutes later.

Ousmane Dembele halved the deficit with a fine finish in the box from Bradley Barcola’s tailor-made pass.

Moments later Barcola got on the score sheet from a rebound in the box after Desire Doue’s strike came off the post.

PSG v Manchester City

Ousmane Dembele was more than a handful for Manchester City’s defense as he almost scored his second.

The Frenchman breezed past a few defenders with ease before releasing a powerful shot at goal which came off the bar.

Paris Saint-Germain completed a sensational comeback against the champions in the 78th minute.

Vitinha crossed the ball from a free-kick into the box, and Joao Neves reacted fastest as he left his marker to head the ball into the bottom left corner.

Portuguese striker Goncalo Ramos came off the bench to get a piece of the pie as he increased the lead by a goal.

The match ended 4-2 as Manchester City dropped out of the playoff zone of the Champions League with a match left to play.
