Former France international Louis Saha has urged Manchester United to do whatever it takes to bring Victor Osimen to Old Trafford ahead of next season.
Osimhen’s future has been the source of intense speculation after the African Player of the Year made clear his intention to leave Serie A leaders Napoli, who he fired to their first league title in 33 years.
Premier League rivals Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United, as well as French giants Paris Saint-Germain, have all shown interest in the 25-year-old.
However, ex-Manchester United striker Louis Saha believes the Red Devils must sign the striker to solve their goalscoring issues.
“If you look at the stats, Man Utd should go after Victor Osimhen over Viktor Gyokeres, it’s as simple as that.
“He’s been scoring goals for four years at Napoli and has done exactly the same since joining Galatasaray, scoring goals for fun.
“He reminds me of Erling Haaland in that sense. I think he could be what Man Utd need,” he said.
Osimhen has scored 8 goals in 9 appearances since joining Galatasaray on loan and was on target to help the Super Eagles draw 1-1 with Benin Republic in their AFCON 2025 qualifier on Friday night.
