The iconic Palais des Congrès will host the 2024 CAF Awards ceremony scheduled for Monday December 16.
The Confederation of African Football made this known via a statement on its X media page and website on Wednesday.
The Palais des Congrès is 5,000 capacity auditorium located in the Hivernage district – a tourist attraction in Marrakech.
The building was inaugurated on October 30 by King Hassan II and Abdelhadi Alami Srifi who managed the complex.
The CAF Awards highlights and celebrates African footballers, teams, coaches and administartors for their remarkable performances in the year under review.
It also showacses the rich African culture and integration through music, dance and other artistic offerings.
The CAF Player of the Year for both the male and female categories are the most coveted individual awards on the night.
Otter categories include: Interclub Player of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, Young Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, National Team of the Year and Club of the Year, also have five nominees each.
The Awards ceremony is scheduled to start at about 7 p.m Nigeria time.
