Kylian Mbappe scored twice from the penalty spot to give Real Madrid a hard fought win over Marseille on the opening night of the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League campaign.
The French forward converted two spot kicks in each half of the tie as Xabi Alonso’s men came from a goal down to seal the win over the vistsors.
Real Madrid started the tie the better side as Kylian Mbappe and Franco Mastantuono registered attempts towards goal in the opening few minutes.

With a about ten minutes left on the clock, Facundo Medina gave away a penalty and once again Kylian Mbappe converted to put Real Madrid ahead.
Mason Greenwood attempted a left equalizer from.a well-taken shot at goal but Courtois was alert to deny the ex-Manchester United winger.
Mbappe’s brace sealed the win as the French star registered his 50th goal since he joined Real Madrid last summer.
